Hey sweet baby, today’s a new day. Wherever you are, whoever you are, I just want to remind you: it’s never too late to start over. You don’t have to wait for the first of the year. You don’t have to wait for a new moon. You don’t even have to wait for a sunny Monday morning. It can be 5 p.m. on a Thursday, and you can still choose to give yourself a fresh start.
That’s not to say that any of this is easy. On the contrary. I think that we are masters of getting in our own way on this. We feel stuck. We feel mired in crisis. We feel knee deep in old patterns and stories. But the truth is we can drop all of this shit at any time. The only thing CHANGE hinges on is your DESIRE to change. So if your soul is crying out for a new beginning, today is the day. Now is the hour. I am giving you permission to begin again.
A lot of people in my world (and myself, too) have been talking to me lately about feeling an overwhelming sense of stagnation in their lives. The sneaking suspicion that you are spinning your wheels. Basically we are all feeling stuck AF and wanting to unstick ourselves.
Here’s the best advice I got to give: just change one thing. That’s it.
Start with one, manageable change to your daily routine. See how that starts to build momentum. And then notice all the other changes that start to visit you. Maybe it’s waking up twenty minutes earlier so that you can stretch before you check your phone. Maybe it’s five minutes of breathwork before you go to bed each night. Maybe it’s releasing your unhealthy relationship with caffeine.
Choose just one thing. Commit to it. Start now.
If we always waited until we felt ready to do something, we wouldn’t do anything. You will never feel entirely ready to make a change. The ego will always try to hold you back. There will always be fear and resistance and doubt. So just start now, as unready as you may think you are. You will find that a deeper part of yourself has been ready for quite some time.
