yBy Angel Lopez:
Winter comes in strong as the celestial energies swirl us toward the polar vortex of our life’s cold, hard truth.
But it doesn’t have to hit us with an aggressive swing. Really, this whole year has been a bit of a wake-up call for all of us. As discussed in the past months, we’ve all been driving toward a greater understanding of our soul’s purpose and the dreams we have to activate or continue furthering it. Sagittarius, the sign that ushers into December, is known as the truth-seeker. It wants us to get to the bottom of things, but more as a student than a detective. The goal is to expand our knowledge so that we learn more about the truth of what makes us tick.
What do we care about?
What ignites our passion?
What inspires us to get out of bed in the chilly morning air and be productive?
And, who do we want to share company with that can help motivate our forward motion?
There’s still some Scorpio energy populating the landscape. Mercury lingers in the watery sign of the depths until December 10th, while Mars will spend all of December there. Mercury, the planet of communication, has been in Scorpio for much longer than usual due to its retrograde phase from last month. This has asked us to ponder beyond the surface of our thoughts and ideas. For some, it’s been a revolutionary time, allowing us to get to the bottom of some outdated thought patterns and beliefs. We also had a chance to be a little more psychic in our communication, hearing the words beyond the words being spoken. This should have made it possible for us to get a greater glimpse into who’s on our side and who’s possibly out to get us.
After December 6th, Mercury enters new territory, so any confrontations or inquiries we have lingering should happen before then. It’s a good time to finish up any projects too, or to at least propel them toward the next level. That Mars energy will also compel us toward our passions, so anything we have a fire for will want attention. It can at times be aggressive too, so we must make sure to use our time and energy constructively, or it could lead to unnecessary arguments. Essentially, communication is key. Be patient with it. Don’t expect people to read your mind, even if you can. It could only lead to disaster.
The big story revolves around the sign of Capricorn.
Though its season doesn’t officially start until December 22nd, its energy is rampant from the month’s kickoff; and, it’s been prevalent this whole year. Capricorn is all about the greater picture. Doing the hard work that’s needed to build for our future. That’s why there’s so much talk right now about the larger outcome of our world. Climate change is an urgent topic. Governments around the globe are being questioned and, in some cases, removed or in great turmoil. The youth is at the forefront, as they’re most affected by the concept of where we’re headed. It’s their Earth to inherit, and they’re not leaving it to chance.
Two of the most major planets, Saturn and Pluto, have been slowly making their way through Capricorn this year. The two are in a buildup toward their perfect conjunction in January, which means the two will be in exact alignment in the sign of Capricorn. It will make for a busy and profound new year.
So, what do you need to know to prepare?
This year, Saturn—the ruling planet of time, responsibility, and structure—has been forcing us to break free from the chains of outdated systems that no longer serve our lives. It’s been pushing us all to examine how we’re spending the time we have on this planet and to be responsible for the future we want for ourselves. No one is going to come along and hand us all the answers. Know that you may receive a gift, but it’s still up to you to decide what to do with it. Pluto is the ruling planet of deep psychological growth and soul-stirring transformation. So, that has pushed us all to better understand the deeper truths that we hold about ourselves and to either cleanse and purge the wounds holding us back and/or to step into the profound truths of greatness that we’ve been allowing these wounds to mask. Together, these two powerful giants make for a time steeped in personal growth and intense release.
This past year has seen a lot of change on a major scale, so consider where it is in your life that you’ve had to confront yourself. What area in your life has shown itself in need of some major change? For some, it’s come up in multiple areas. Work, home, and relationships all bubbling up and over, all at once. Regardless, your job here is to assess what’s going on underneath.
What are the themes at play for your life, and how are you being asked to
step into the next level of yourself?
And, can you own up to the vision you’ve always dreamt for yourself?
Now is the time to go after the bigger hopes and
dreams you’ve maybe kept hidden. Your life may be showing you that you have no choice. You may find
you just can’t stomach the job, the marriage, the neighborhood, or the friendship you’ve been
questioning lately, so you must put an end to it.
Follow your gut and change what wants to be changed.
Jupiter will be following the path blazed by these two all next year, as it makes its way into Capricorn. His goal is to expand all that he touches with the hope of manifesting abundant growth. This past year, he traveled through his home sign of Sagittarius, which also elevated the growth process for everyone. Now with this shift, if you can take on some responsibility for the long-term goals of your life and do what it takes to put in the necessary work, both inner and outer, you can access a truly positive outcome for yourself. You have the opportunity to get the dream career blooming. You can take steps toward the home life you’ve always envisioned. You will find yourself calling in the relationship that you deserve instead of what you just think you can get.
For now, you must begin by believing that you can manifest these things. You must believe that you deserve them for your dreams to come true. Sometimes, this mental game is the hardest part. Do all you can this month to make that happen. The Gemini full moon on December 12th can be a prime moment to release any negative ways of thinking and turn the tables on that inner monologue. Tell yourself, "I deserve for these dreams of mine to come true.”
Can you revolutionize your heart and mind to believe in yourself, a hundred percent? My hope for you is that you can.
